The go-ahead run was scored by Nate Millington in the fourth inning on a pickoff error. The Rex scored four runs in that inning, bolstered by key hits from Deakin Brinkley and Wally Diaz. Starter Fabian Hernandez struggled early but was supported by relievers who combined to allow only two earned runs over the final five innings. With this victory, the Rex maintain their lead in the Central Division with a 9-2 record in the second half of the season.
