Rey Mysterio intervenes during Dominik's AAA Championship match

"

Rey Mysterio is a thorn in the side of Dominik Mysterio. Once again, Rey influenced the finish for Dominik versus El Grande Americano for the AAA Mega Championship. Dom was on the losing end both times. I’ll let you be the judge if that sounds fishy from father to son. The first instance was Rey running in as backup referee to count the pin that crowned Grande over Dominik at Triplemania 34. The second occasion happened at Heroes Inmortales on Saturday night (Oct. 24, 2026). Grande versus Dominik was a wild affair in the main event. It started with shenanigans when Dorian Roldan hot Grande with a chair during introductions. Dominik took advantage for the 619, but that wasn’t enough to keep Grande down for a quick pin. The middle of the match also had shenanigans when Omos arrived to cause trouble. As Grande ran the ropes to deliver a headbutt, Omos tripped the Mexican hero. Pimpinela Escarlata took umbrage, so Omos goozled the exotico. Grande saved his friend by colliding into Omos on a suicide dive. The champion popped a headbutt to Roldan, then he blasted Dom with a headbutt. Victory was in Grande’s hand. That was until Omos pulled the referee out of the ring on the three-count. This match is TOTAL CHAOS!!! 🤯 pic.twitter.com/PxAu8BGTvn — WWE (@WWE) October 25, 2026 If you guessed that the finish had more shenanigans, then you are correct. This is where Rey came in. He swung around the ring post for a 619 to Omos. Rey grabbed a chair to tenderize the giant. When Dom tried to snatch the weapon from his father, Rey socked his son with the chair too. Grande sealed the deal with a headbutt for victory. ¡¡¡El Grande Americano sigue como MEGACAMPEÓN DE AAA!!!#AAAHeroesInmortales pic.twitter.com/8IqxacTuB6 — Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (@luchalibreaaa) October 25, 2026 Needless to say, Dominik was none too pleased backstage. .@DomMysterio35 is NOT HAPPY!! 😳 pic.twitter.com/3q9yY2PXgG — WWE (@WWE) October 25, 2026 Some will say that Rey did the right thing to even the playing field for Grande. Others will argue that Rey overstepped his bounds as AAA general manager. And there is a contingent of Dirty Dom loyalists who will claim this is jealousy from a deadbeat dad. One thing is certain. Rey knows he stirred the hornet’s nest again, and Grande’s win will be put in doubt. Dominik has an angle to demand another rematch. What’s your take on Rey Mysterio getting involved in the Mega Championship finish? How do you propose AAA ends the feud between El Grande Americano and Dirty Dom?
