Rumor of the Day: Rhea Ripley’s status WWE revealed on this past week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown that Rhea Ripley sustained an injury. Her status, then, is uncertain moving forward. According to WrestleVotes, WWE is still waiting to figure out the true severity of her injury and whether or not she will have to miss SummerSlam because of it. If that is the case, a lot of other plans are likely to change as well. Indeed, there was apparently talk of doing a Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill match, which makes sense given the booking on television, but that would likely be changed if Ripley can’t go. No word on the status of the women’s championship at this time. For now, WWE is simply waiting to see on the woman holding the title. Other rumors floating around TC of WrestleVotes has noted WWE has concerns about LA Knight’s in ring ability in comparison to, say, Jey Uso, and that explains some of the reluctance to push him beyond his current level. They also say Stephanie Vaquer is “on her way back” and “getting close” to a return to WWE but she isn’t ready just yet. Here’s one: during a chat with Muscle Man Malcolm, Matt Riddle claimed he smoked weed backstage at a WWE show with Migos and no one stopped them. Get in on this, y’all.
