Rhys Carre and Courtney Keight win WRWA player of the year awards

Rhys Carre and Courtney Keight have been awarded the top accolades by the Welsh Rugby Writers' Association for the 2025-26 season. Carre, a prop for Saracens, received the men’s player of the year award, while Keight, a centre for Sale, took home the women’s accolade. Carre played 11 of Wales' 12 Tests this past season and noted a successful try run during the 2026 Six Nations. Keight established herself as a key member of the Welsh squad, contributing to the national team’s success. The awards were announced on September 16, 2026, with also recognition for young player of the year honors.
