Rich Horan retires after 35 years as Audubon High baseball coach

Rich Horan announced his retirement as the head baseball coach at Audubon High School on Friday. During his 35-year tenure, Horan recorded 641 career victories while leading the Green Wave to seven state titles and 11 sectional championships. A 1973 graduate of the school, Horan took over the program in 1992 after serving as an assistant at Gloucester Catholic. His career included 18 seasons with at least 20 wins, highlighted by a 30-2 record and a Group 2 state championship in 1998. Horan stated that his decision to step down was made to allow for more time with his family and grandchildren. He departs as one of only six coaches in South Jersey history to reach the 600-win milestone.
