Richmond student-athlete critically injured at Flying Mummies baseball game

A Richmond High School student-athlete sustained critical injuries during a fan event at a Flying Mummies baseball game on August 8. The athlete was participating in a competition involving inflatable bubbles when the incident occurred. Both students involved were transported to Reid Hospital, with one later transferred to a facility in Indianapolis. In response to the accident, Richmond High School is providing counseling services to students. The Richmond Police Department expressed community support for the affected families and athletes, emphasizing solidarity during this difficult time.
