Rick Pitino secures commitment from five-star recruit Malachi Jordan for St. John's

St. John's basketball has secured five-star small forward Malachi Jordan for the 2027 class. Jordan, who previously had offers from Kansas, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and USC, was ultimately won over by a promise from head coach Rick Pitino to help him reach his full potential. Jordan visited St. John's practices and film sessions, where he appreciated the intensity and coaching style. His commitment marks St. John's first five-star prospect since Rysheed Jordan in 2013 and adds to the recent recruitment momentum for the program, which has won back-to-back Big East titles and produced multiple NBA prospects.
