Rick Rosinski accepts basketball coaching position at Shawano

Three months after his departure from Green Bay Preble, Rick Rosinski has been hired as the new boys basketball coach at Shawano. Rosinski replaces David Ambrosius, who led the program for more than a decade. The hiring follows a period of uncertainty for Rosinski, who resigned from his position at Green Bay Preble in May following an unclear administrative decision. Despite support from parents and players, he was not rehired by the district. Rosinski decided to return to coaching after discussions with his assistant Jim Hayes and a formal interview with Shawano athletic director Kayla Brendemuehl. He noted that the direct communication and support from the athletic department were deciding factors in his acceptance of the role.
