Ricky Stuart expects Hudson Young to remain at Canberra Raiders

Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart states that Hudson Young will likely remain with the club following the collapse of a potential move to the PNG Chiefs. Young is currently signed through 2027 but would be eligible to negotiate with rival clubs on November 1 without a new deal. The PNG Chiefs recently withdrew interest in the back-rower due to salary cap concerns after initial contract discussions. Stuart noted that Young has expressed no desire to play for any other NRL club and indicated that the contract extension should be finalized quickly. The player remains sidelined with a season-ending Achilles injury sustained during the Round 20 match against the Parramatta Eels.
