Riley Herbst of 23XI Racing has been ruled out of the NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona on August 29 due to lingering effects from a crash at New Hampshire. The decision was made shortly before the race, with Harrison Burton stepping in to drive the No. 35 Toyota. Herbst had qualified the car in fifth position but will now start at the back of the field. He sustained injuries last week after a hard collision with Michael McDowell. Herbst has made three top-10 finishes this season and will not return to the team in 2027, with Corey Heim taking over.
