Riley O’Brien, Jesus Luzardo, Braxton Ashcraft, Willson Contreras named All-Star replacements

Riley O’Brien, Jesus Luzardo, and Braxton Ashcraft have been named replacements for the National League All-Star team following the withdrawals of Paul Skenes, Jacob Misiorowski, and Max Meyer. Additionally, Willson Contreras will replace Vladimir Guerrero Jr. as a first baseman. All-Star selections for O’Brien, Luzardo, and Ashcraft mark their first as All-Stars. O’Brien has recorded 22 saves this season, while Luzardo has 125 strikeouts in 103.1 innings. Contreras is having a standout season in his first year with the Red Sox, making his fourth All-Star appearance.
