River View qualifies for state golf tournament after district competition

River View secured a spot in the Division II state golf tournament on September 28 by finishing second at the district tournament held at EagleSticks. The team shot a total of 298, with sophomore Colton Gress leading as tri-medalist with a score of even-par 70. Despite some early struggles, River View rallied on the last three holes, finishing strong to secure qualification. St. Clairsville took first place with a score of 293. River View last qualified for the state tournament in 2025 and will compete again on October 11-12 at Firestone North.
