The Charleston RiverDogs lost 6-0 to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans on August 1 at Pelicans Ballpark. Myrtle Beach starter Noah Edders tossed five scoreless innings, allowing just one hit. The Pelicans scored five runs in the second inning with a three-run triple from Alexey Lumpuy, and added a sixth run in the sixth. The RiverDogs managed only two hits throughout the game from Ryan Cermak and Alberth Palma. The teams are set to meet again on August 2 for the series finale, with first pitch at 6:35 p.m.
