Roanoke-Benson high school reinstates girls golf program for the fall season

Roanoke-Benson high school has revived its girls golf program after a two-year hiatus due to a lack of participants. The team is currently active with enough athletes to field a squad for the fall season. The return of the program originated from interest expressed by student athletes Reese Norman and Shea Sauder, who organized student support and contacted school administration. Chad Lemon, the head coach for the boys golf team, has been appointed to lead the girls program as well. The current roster is comprised entirely of seniors who are focused on building participation for future seasons. The team plans to compete as a unit in upcoming regional and sectional events throughout the fall.
