Robert Hunt praises rookie DL Lee Hunter at Panthers training camp

Carolina Panthers guard Robert Hunt spoke highly of rookie defensive lineman Lee Hunter during a press conference at training camp. Hunt described Hunter, drafted in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft, as looking mature for his experience level and playing the run exceptionally well. Hunter, 6-foot-3 and 318 pounds, was named a first-team All-American and first-team All-Big 12 in 2025 while at Texas Tech, recording 7.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. With the absence of A'Shawn Robinson and Tershawn Wharton's injury, Hunter may have an immediate opportunity to contribute on the Panthers' defensive line. Training camp is underway as the Panthers prepare for the upcoming NFL season.
