Robin Gosens scored his first Bundesliga goal for Schalke 04 in a 3-1 victory over his former club, Union Berlin, on Friday evening. Gosens previously played for Union Berlin during the 2023/24 season, contributing to the club's successful fight against relegation before his departure for Fiorentina. Upon returning to his boyhood club this summer, the German international noted the experience of playing against his former employers was a strange feeling.
