Rocco Becht leads Penn State to season-opening victory over Marshall

Penn State defeated Marshall 45-0 in the season opener at home, marking the first game under head coach Matt Campbell. Quarterback Rocco Becht anchored the offense with 271 passing yards and four touchdowns to four different receivers. While the passing attack performed well, the team struggled to generate momentum on the ground, finishing with limited rushing production during the first half. Carson Hansen eventually led the team with 48 rushing yards as reserves saw action late in the game. Campbell praised Becht’s ability to distribute the ball under pressure throughout the contest.
