Rockies struggle with pitching as season progresses towards June

Summary

The Colorado Rockies starting rotation has faced significant challenges this season, contributing to a record of 24-38. Despite an initial strong showing from newcomers like Tomoyuki Sugano, the rotation has deteriorated, especially in May where the team went 8-20. Sugano has recorded five wins, with only one quality start in May, while Michael Lorenzen's struggles have continued, posting a 9.67 ERA at Coors Field. The offense shows promise, led by Hunter Goodman with 15 home runs, but remains inconsistent. The Rockies will face the Angels in Anaheim on June 3, where they hope to rebound from their recent performances.
