Rodri faces decision between Barcelona and Real Madrid this summer
Summary

Manchester City midfielder Rodri must decide whether to stay or leave for La Liga this summer. With one year remaining on his contract, he has yet to sign an extension. Reports indicate both Real Madrid and Barcelona are interested in his signature, though sources at Barcelona have downplayed their pursuit. Rodri recently led Spain to victory in the World Cup but is currently recovering from back surgery and has not yet joined his teammates on City's pre-season tour. A significant fee would be required for City to consider selling him, while losing Rodri could impact their midfield ahead of the upcoming season.
