Roma reach total agreement with Stuttgart for winger Jamie Leweling

Roma have secured a total agreement with VfB Stuttgart for the transfer of Germany international Jamie Leweling. Italian reports confirm that the Bundesliga club has sanctioned the sale as Roma look to finalize their roster before the summer transfer window closes on Tuesday evening. While the Giallorossi have also explored options for Luiz Henrique from Zenit St Petersburg, progress on that deal has slowed, making the acquisition of Leweling the primary focus. The proposed arrangement is expected to involve a loan deal containing an obligation to purchase the winger for a fee between €35m and €40m. Manager Gian Piero Gasperini intends to add another winger to his side before the registration period ends. The move follows previous competitive meetings between the two clubs in the UEFA Europa League earlier this year.
