Roma targets Chelsea's Jamie Gittens as Nusa pursuit wanes

Summary

AS Roma has turned its attention to Chelsea winger Jamie Gittens amid cooling interest in Antonio Nusa. Manager Gian Piero Gasperini seeks a left-sided attacking midfielder but faces financial constraints, including a wage ceiling of around €4m. Leipzig’s €60m valuation of Nusa has deterred Roma, prompting them to consider Gittens and Lyon's Malick Fofana, valued at around €45m. Roma may explore a loan for Gittens if Chelsea is amenable to that arrangement.
