It appears THE main event for Saturday Night’s Main Event is now set. Monday morning, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns wrote the following on X: The OTC The King of New York @jalenbrunson1 The Mecca …. MSG @TheGarden Let’s have the whole world ACKNOWLEDGE us at @WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event! ☝🏽 #SNME #TribalChief — Roman Reigns (@WWERomanReigns) July 13, 2026 The OTC The King of New York @jalenbrunson1 The Mecca …. MSG @TheGarden Let’s have the whole world ACKNOWLEDGE us at @WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event! ☝🏽 #SNME #TribalChief In case you’ve been living under a rock (or The Rock — hey, do you, boo), let me bring you up to speed. Saturday Night’s Main Event heads to Madison Square Garden this weekend, home of the NBA Champion New York Knicks. During their run to the title, Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson let it be known that he and one of the team’s trainers shake hands and “we acknowledge (Reigns) before every game.” After the Knicks won their first NBA title in 53 years, Reigns sent Brunson an autographed Knicks replica championship belt, which read, “Congrats Champ! We acknowledge you!” Also appearing in the Garden that night is Danhausen, the person some credit with helping the Knicks break their title drought by uncursing the team. One could argue that it should be Danhausen, not Reigns, who shares in any ceremony acknowledging the Knicks’ success. Of course, you won’t be getting that argument from me. WWE has since confirmed that Reigns and Brunson will appear at Saturday Night’s Main Event, giving fans even more reason to tune in to Peacock this Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.
