Romeo Doubs struggles in Patriots debut during game against Seattle Seahawks

Wide receiver Romeo Doubs recorded no catches through three quarters of his New England Patriots debut on September 9 against the Seattle Seahawks. Doubs faced an increased role after A.J. Brown left the game in the third quarter with an ankle injury. The receiver failed to haul in a pass from quarterback Drake Maye in the fourth quarter during a second-and-14 play. That missed opportunity was followed by an interception thrown by Maye to Seahawks safety Julian Love. The Seahawks subsequently took a 13-10 lead following a 26-yard field goal by Jason Myers. Doubs was also the target on a separate interception caught by cornerback Nehemiah Pritchett earlier in the contest.
