Earlier this year, Ronda Rousey returned to action for the first time in a decade, taking on Gina Carano in the main event of MVP’s debut MMA event, broadcast on Netflix. In the lead-up to that fight, the discussion turned to how it would far compared to the UFC White House event, which figured to be one of the biggest MMA events ever. And now we know. On Thursday, the UFC revealed its viewership numbers with UFC White House, with the promotion drawing an average of 7 million viewers domestically. In contrast, the MVP MMA 1 card in May drew an average of 9.3 million viewers domestically. And Rousey reached to this revelation with a note of contempt for UFC executive Hunter Campbell. Lmao! Kiss my ass Hunter Campbell 😜 https://t.co/fzkJTgqnyg — Ronda Rousey (@RondaRousey) June 19, 2026 Lmao! Kiss my ass Hunter Campbell. During the media tour for her return to action, Rousey made it clear that one of her primary motivations was a beef with UFC Chief Business Officer Hunter Campbell. Campbell allegedly made disparaging remarks regarding Rousey and women’s MMA when Rousey first contacted the UFC about her return, and that lit a fire under “Rowdy” to deliver a big event outside of the UFC. MVP’s debut MMA event certainly did that; however, there is some nuance to the comparisons between the two events. For one, the Netflix streaming platform is considerably larger than Paramount+, and UFC White House took place on a Sunday, as opposed to Saturday. Also, the international viewership numbers for UFC White House have yet to be revealed, so the numbers could be more impressive for the UFC in time. Regardless, both events were huge wins for each promotion, which MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian also acknowledged after the UFC numbers dropped. Tremendous success for UFC 250, which is great for the continued growth of the sport, the fighters and the fans. MVP MMA had Netflix. MVP MMA had Netflix. UFC 250 had the White House and one of the most recognized global figures in history in President Trump. Only winners here in all scenarios. And UFC 250 was an amazing production, whether you agreed with the location or not. UFC is by far the most dominant brand / the reference brand for the sport of MMA. For MVP MMA to be in the same ballpark of viewership for their biggest event ever is damn good. Don’t care who was higher. Congrats to all. Nevertheless, Rousey seems happy to have her win over Campbell.
