Rosemary Longisa transfers from WSU to Iowa State after championship

College SportsRosemary Longisa, the reigning NCAA champion in the 1,500-meter outdoor race, has transferred to Iowa State from Washington State University. The announcement came just days after she secured the national title in Eugene. Longisa joins Iowa State to follow her former coach, Laura Harmon, who has been appointed head coach for cross country and assistant track coach. Longisa previously achieved national runner-up status in the mile at the NCAA Indoor Championships earlier this year and set the fastest time this spring for U.S. women in the outdoor 1,500-meter event.
