Former Bayern Munich striker Roy Makaay identified Harry Kane as a strong contender for the upcoming Ballon d’Or award. Makaay, who scored 103 goals during his tenure with the German club, noted that Kane’s output for both his club and country merits serious recognition from voters. While Makaay expressed a personal desire to see the English forward secure the trophy, he acknowledged that the final outcome remains subjective and dependent on the preferences of those voting. The award ceremony is scheduled for October. Kane continues his campaign for individual honors following an prolific season with Bayern Munich, including a recent appearance against VfB Stuttgart on August 28. Makaay emphasized that while individual goal tallies support Kane’s case, the competition for the award remains high among multiple elite players.
