Royals select contractors for proposed $3 billion ballpark in Kansas City

The Kansas City Royals have appointed Mortenson and McCownGordon as a joint venture, alongside JE Dunn, to oversee the construction of a new $3 billion ballpark and mixed-use development at Crown Centre. This project, aimed to transform an 85-acre area into a vibrant sports-anchored district, is supported by the partnership with Hallmark Cards. The new stadium will have a seating capacity of about 34,000 fans and is projected for completion by the 2028 MLB season.
