What they're saying
"

The 946 has quickly become a mainstay on Monday Night Raw, and they’ve gotten big enough now that they’re occupying plenty of space in the main event scene standing opposite The Bloodline. To their credit, they’ve done enough to make the first real team vs. team interaction that included Roman Reigns downright electric. We’re headed for War Games at Survivor Series, and it’s going to be awesome. Having said that, WWE hasn’t done all that much to give them a ton of backstory beyond the obvious. In an interview with Bleacher Report recently, Royce Keys, the de facto leader of the group, talked about what actually brought them together and the role they play within the unit: “I knew everybody before we actually all got together. So, 946 is us. We’ve taken parts of how we grew up and where we’re from and put them together, so it’s something that’s authentic and real. We each bring something different. Melo’s a little pit bull. When I take that leash off him, it’s dangerous. And Jaida, she hits harder than some of the dudes. I always say it’s like a pot of gumbo. You’ve got all these different flavors and mixtures in it, so it’s gonna be hard for our opponents to adapt to it.” We need more of this on TV, and less of the quick little pre-taped promos where they just talk about calling the play or whatever. Right?!?
