Royce White predicts LeBron James could join WNBA amid trans-athlete debate

Summary

Former NBA forward Royce White recently declared for the 2027 WNBA Draft and speculated that LeBron James might consider joining him in the league after his NBA career. White criticized the WNBA's eligibility criteria during an appearance on Fox News, emphasizing the ongoing discussion regarding trans-athlete participation in professional sports. He stated his intention to elevate the WNBA's profile and boost attendance, though it remains uncertain if he or fellow ex-NBA player Enes Freedom will follow through on their draft declarations. The WNBA is set to address trans-athlete eligibility later this month, while James prepares for his 24th NBA season with the Philadelphia 76ers.
