Rugby players achieve 28-hour world record attempt for sevens matches

Players at Sandbach Rugby Club in Cheshire completed two rugby sevens matches lasting 28 hours each, aiming for world records. This attempt took place over Friday and Saturday and exceeded the previous men's record of 24 hours and 30 minutes. There was no existing record for women's matches. The initiative, named 24/7s, raised over £68,000 for the rugby mental health charity LooseHeadz and is pending final verification from Guinness. Participants, including former England and British & Irish Lions player George Kruis, expressed the physical and mental challenges faced during the event.
