The group, which also included Annie Emery, who completed 34 miles, emphasized the bond formed through their shared experiences in ultra marathon training. Previously, the foursome attempted a 100-mile event at Mohican State Park but were unable to finish. They train together regularly, starting at 4 a.m. despite their other commitments.
