Runners complete 100-mile Burning River event as a team

In July, Bryce Heinbaugh, Michelle Rzeszutek, and Maria Gonzalez finished the Burning River 100-mile run in Kingsville Township, Ohio, in 29 hours and 23 minutes. The group, which also included Annie Emery, who completed 34 miles, emphasized the bond formed through their shared experiences in ultra marathon training. Previously, the foursome attempted a 100-mile event at Mohican State Park but were unable to finish. They train together regularly, starting at 4 a.m. despite their other commitments. Their commitment to the sport has strengthened their relationships and personal faith, with each runner acknowledging the challenges that come with ultra marathon racing.
