Russell Wilson transitions to CBS Sports amid Hall of Fame debate

Russell Wilson announced he is leaving football to join CBS Sports for the 2026 NFL season. This transition has sparked discussions about his candidacy for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. While some analysts suggest Wilson's career has been overshadowed by a decline in performance post-Seattle, others argue that his ten years with the Seahawks and unique achievements merit enshrinement. His statistics, including being the only quarterback to pass for over 40,000 yards and rush for over 5,000, further contribute to the debate surrounding his legacy. The conversation surrounding Wilson's Hall of Fame potential is expected to evolve as he becomes eligible in five years.
