Rutgers adds graduate forward Sisi Eleko following federal court ruling

Rutgers head coach Gary Redus II signed forward Sisi Eleko to the 2026-27 roster following a late August ruling by Judge Charlotte Sweeney of the U.S. District Court of Colorado. The injunction granted a fifth season of eligibility to high school class of 2022 athletes who had already exhausted four years of play. Eleko previously played at Canisius and Eastern Michigan, where she finished with 1,735 career points and 1,053 rebounds. Her most recent season included 17.6 points and 9.9 rebounds per game, leading the Mid-American Conference in rebounding. Rutgers entered the signing after finishing last in the Big Ten last season. The team is scheduled to host Caldwell in an exhibition match on October 30 at Jersey Mike’s Arena.
