Pat Willis, a former softball coach at Rutgers University, passed away on June 11 at the age of 82. Inducted into the Rutgers Athletics Hall of Fame in 2022, Willis led her teams to 600 wins and three 30-win seasons over 27 years. She was also an assistant women's basketball coach, contributing to a national championship in 1982. Willis mentored numerous standout players, including All-Americans and Big East Player of the Year honorees. She began her career as a physical education teacher before joining Rutgers.
