Rutgers football has appointed Dylan Lonergan as the starting quarterback, succeeding Athan Kaliakmanis. Lonergan, a Boston College transfer, bested AJ Surace in a competition that started in the spring. Coach Greg Schiano announced the decision following the team's final scrimmage on August 22.
