Rutgers men's basketball kicks off its regular season against New Haven tonight at 7 p.m. in Jersey Mike’s Arena. This marks the debut of head coach Brandin Knight following Steve Pikiell’s resignation due to health issues. Last season, Rutgers struggled with a 14-20 record but showed promise in later games. New Haven enters the matchup after losing to Syracuse 74-58 in their previous game. The Knights aim to contain New Haven's Teshuan Steele, who scored 18 points in that loss.
