Rutgers secures commitment from 2027 four-star shooting guard RJ Moore

Rutgers basketball has landed its first commitment for the 2027 recruiting class with the addition of shooting guard RJ Moore. The 6-foot-6 recruit from Ambassador Christian School in South Carolina is currently ranked as a four-star prospect by both 247Sports and Rivals. During his junior high school season, Moore averaged 18.6 points, 8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. He chose the Scarlet Knights over several other programs, including Alabama, Vanderbilt, Syracuse, Wake Forest, and Virginia. Following his commitment during an official visit, Moore is expected to cancel his remaining scheduled visits to other universities. The program now has three remaining scholarship spots available for the 2027 season.
