Ryan Clifford selected for 2026 All-Star Futures Game

Ryan Clifford will represent the Mets at the All-Star Futures Game on Sunday afternoon. The 22-year-old first baseman has hit 16 homers and driven in 47 runs while batting.198 in 85 games with the Triple-A Syracuse Mets this season. Originally ranked as the Mets’ No. 8 prospect, he now stands No. 2 according to MLB Pipeline following recent graduations within the system. Clifford has played at various positions this season, and if he homers in the Futures Game, he will be the first Mets player to do so since Francisco Alvarez in 2021. The game is set to begin at 12 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on NBC.
