Ryan McMahon exits game early but may be available for Yankees finale

New York Yankees third baseman Ryan McMahon left Wednesday's game early after jamming his left thumb while oversliding second base. After being pinch-hit for in the eighth inning of a 3-3 game, McMahon stated his thumb felt the same as the previous day. He is scheduled for another scan on Friday and could return to the bench for the team's final game against the Baltimore Orioles. The Yankees won 5-3 on Wednesday, extending their winning streak to three games and solidifying their position in the American League playoff race.
