Ryan Poles provides injury update on Bears defensive lineman Shemar Turner

Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles provided an update on the status of defensive lineman Shemar Turner as he recovers from a torn ACL. Turner sustained the injury during a Week 8 loss to the Baltimore Ravens last season and missed the remainder of his rookie campaign. The defensive lineman will begin the current season on the physically unable to perform list while continuing his rehabilitation. Poles stated that Turner is trending in a positive direction and has begun performing position-specific work on the side. The team expects Turner to start practicing within the next few weeks once he completes the final phase of his recovery and regains his game instincts. Chicago currently faces depth concerns along the defensive line following the trade of Gevon Dexter.
