Meanwhile, Mirra Andreeva, the French Open winner, was eliminated by Leylah Fernandez in a 6-1, 6-4 defeat. Fernandez delivered a strong serving performance, winning 24 of 27 points on her first serve. Rybakina will next face the winner of the match between Liudmila Samsonova and Maya Joint, while Fernandez awaits the result of Naomi Osaka versus Elise Mertens.
