Rytas Vilnius plans for NBA Europe qualifying tournament participation

At a press conference in Vilnius on August 27, Rytas Vilnius CEO Martynas Giga outlined the structure for the NBA Europe qualifying tournament. Eight teams are anticipated to compete for two spots in the 2027-28 NBA Europe season. The tournament will include the finalists from the FIBA Basketball Champions League, the two teams that lose in the semifinals, and six others from high-ranked domestic leagues. Giga indicated that Rytas Vilnius aims to qualify, contingent on their performance in the domestic league, emphasizing the importance of the LKL.
