Saba Karim questions Suryakumar Yadav’s place in India’s T20 setup

Summary

Former selector Saba Karim expressed doubts about Suryakumar Yadav’s future in India’s T20 team ahead of the 2028 World Cup. Karim cited Yadav's inconsistent performances, including a lackluster IPL 2026 season where he scored 270 runs in 13 matches. Karim recommended Rajat Patidar for the captaincy, noting his successful IPL leadership, and suggested that the selectors must start considering younger talents like 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for national selection.
