Saegertown softball falls to Laurel 6-2 in playoffs

Saegertown lost to Laurel 6-2 in the PIAA Class 2A State playoffs at Allegheny College on Monday. The Panthers tied the game at one in the third inning but fell behind after a strong fourth inning by Laurel. Saegertown attempted to rally, cutting the lead to 4-2 in the fifth, but could not catch up. The Spartans secured their victory with a two-run homer in the seventh.
