Saffron Cresswell prepares for para-canoe world championships in Poland

Saffron Cresswell will compete for Team GB at the ICF Canoe Sprint and Para-Canoe World Championships from August 25 to 30 in Poznan, Poland. After a fall in 2024 left her paralyzed, Cresswell adapted to canoeing, a sport she discovered less than a year ago. She aims for a long-term goal of participating in the Paralympics. Cresswell expressed pride in representing her country again, especially after a challenging recovery journey. Family support will be present at the championships, marking a significant milestone in her athletic career.
