Saints monitor health of Alvin Kamara and Cameron Jordan for season opener

New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore indicated uncertainty regarding the availability of running back Alvin Kamara and defensive end Cameron Jordan for the Week 1 game against the Detroit Lions. Kamara has been sidelined since sustaining a sprained MCL during an Aug. 18 joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys. Jordan is managing a hamstring injury that has kept him out since early in training camp. Neither veteran participated in the team's preseason schedule. Moore stated that the medical staff will evaluate the progress of both players through a series of practices this week before determining if they can handle a full workload.
