Saints place several players on injured reserve before regular season start

The New Orleans Saints finalized their roster designations for the 2026 season following the conclusion of training camp. Ten players, including defensive tackle Bryan Bresee, running back Ty Chandler, and wide receiver Devin Neal, have been placed on season-ending injured reserve. The team also placed linebacker Jaylan Ford, safety Lorenzo Styles Jr, and wide receiver Jordyn Tyson on the injured reserve list with a designation to return, requiring them to miss at least four weeks. Wide receiver Mason Tipton remains on the physically unable to perform list following surgery on a broken tibia. These roster moves leave the Saints with depleted depth at running back and on the offensive line as they prepare for their regular season opener against the Detroit Lions on September 13. The team currently carries four active wide receivers on the roster.
