The Salem RidgeYaks have taken the lead in the Carolina League North Division, surpassing the Fayetteville Woodpeckers by half a game. Last week, the RidgeYaks won four of five games against Fayetteville. A game originally scheduled for Sunday was rained out and will be played as a doubleheader on August 26 in Fayetteville. The RidgeYaks will look to extend their success with a six-game series starting Tuesday against last-place Delmarva.
