Salford City hires Jill Scott as football advisor for women’s team

Salford City appointed former England player Jill Scott to the position of football advisor. Scott will oversee the development of the technical program and provide support to the women’s team coaching staff and players. This appointment coincides with a new investment in the club's women's side from the American insurance firm AIG. Salford currently competes in the North West Women's Regional Football League's Division One Central. The club previously bolstered the squad during the summer by signing several players from fourth-tier clubs Stockport County and Blackburn Rovers. Scott transitioned into this role following her retirement at the end of the 2021/22 season and recent media collaborations with club co-owner Gary Neville.
