Sam Sunderland attempts record around the world motorcycle ride

Sam Sunderland has started an attempt to set a new world record for the fastest global circumnavigation by motorcycle. The Red Bull athlete is riding a Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer across five continents with a goal of completing the journey in under 19 days, eight hours, and 25 minutes. His planned route spans over 18,000 miles, requiring him to spend up to 17 hours a day in the saddle. The journey begins in London and includes stops in Istanbul, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and North America before returning to London. Official record rules mandate that he must travel in a single direction on the same motorcycle and touch two antipodal points. The current record has remained unbroken for more than two decades.
